A nice drive to our next destination. We spent most of the day at the Krka National Park. We have never seen waterfalls like this in any of our travels. Anywhere. Actually pretty amazing. A few pictures are worth more than words.
Now, who are these three grandmas? Our Airbnb host told us that she couldn't meet us at her flat, but her 'dear' grandmother would. 'Dear' BTW means 'doesn't speak English'! So we put D42 10, Poljanak, Croatia in our phone and headed north from Krka National Park. We arrived at D43 10 and sure enough, there was a grandma. But, checking in at the same time was a couple from Germany, grandma spoke German and Croatian and was quite certain that we did not have a reservation with her. She sent us up the hill three houses, eins, zwie, drei. We did decline her offer of schnapps and moved on.
That house was D42 13. Hmm, there was another grandmother there waiting. Again another couple was checking in. This was not our Airbnb either. In conversation, she heard me mention our host's name, Ivana Vukovic. "Aaaah, Ivan Vokovic, she lives up the hill four houses'. Up we go to D42 17 and another grandmother. She recognized our name and we checked in. Still not sure why the Airbnb directions took us to D42 10!

You daughter-in-law Hannah shared your blog with me. What a great trip - I admire your adventurous spirit. I've been to many of these places in the past and am heading back to Croatia and Bosnia to explore more thoroughly in June. Your blog has provided me with some travel inspiration.
